The Language of Children is an exhibition by Marisol Malatesta and Rossella Lochis, presented by Spazio Tilde as part of the 14th edition of the ArtDate Contemporary Art Festival. The festival centered on the theme “Devouring”, exploring ideas of unbridled consumerism, greed, nourishment and excess.

In response, both artists transformed their respective spaces (Bakery and studio) with bread drawings created by children between the ages of 5 and 12, placing their spontaneous visual language at the heart of the exhibition.

Alongside these works, Marisol and Rossella presented an installation of their sculptures, drawings and objects that reimagined the tradition of the idea of a still life through the playful, imaginative, and dreamlike perspective of childhood.
